Are advertisements screened before being displayed in ADflakes? No. We are expecting hundreds up to thousands of advertisements to be submitted daily and we do not have the human resources to review all advertisements manually one by one. But ADflakes implement a community flagging system wherein anyone can flag any advertisement if they think it is placed in a wrong category, it is a scam, prohibited, illegal, spam or duplicate post or it contains misleading content. With this flagging mechanism, our team are notified to review advertisements that are possibly not following our policies.
How can I contact the owner of the advertisement? There are multiple ways to contact the owner of the advertisement:
- Post a message on the advertisement page by clicking "Post Message."
- Send a private message to the advertisement owner by clicking "Send Message (PM)" in Member Menu found in the advertisement page
- Use the contact details provided by the owner
How can I know that someone has posted a message in my advertisement or someone has sent me a private message? When you post an advertisement, a bookmark for that advertisement will be automatically created for your member account. Whenever someone posted a message to your bookmarked advertisements, you will receive a notification message through e-mail.
You will also receive a notification message through e-mail whenever another user sent you a private message.
How can I know if someone responded to my message in another advertisement that is not my own? When you posted a message to another advertisement, you have an option to bookmark this advertisement. You will then receive notification messages through e-mail whenever new messages are posted to your bookmarked advertisements.
You can also bookmark advertisements without posting a message. You can do this by clicking "Bookmark" in Ads Menu located in the advertisement page (this is only available for logged in members).
What can I do if I see an advertisement that I think is in wrong category, scam, prohibited, illegal, spam or contains misleading content? If you see an advertisement that you think is located in wrong category, scam, prohibited, illegal, spam or contains misleading content, you can flag the advertisement accordingly by clicking the correct flag link just below the page title of the advertisement page. Community flagging helps us remove unwanted advertisements in the system.
Advertisements flagged are reviewed by us and will be removed when necessary.
What can I do if I see a spam message posted under an advertisement? You can flag spam messages posted in advertisement pages by clicking "Spam" link at the corresponding message. Community flagging helps us remove unwanted messages from the system.
Messages flagged are reviewed by us and will be removed when necessary.
I accidentally flagged an advertisement or a message. How can I remove it? Do not worry if you mistakenly flag an advertisement or a message. It takes more than one flag to alert out team to investigate and review the flagged item.
How can I close a transaction in ADflakes? Completing transactions or closing deals related to posted advertisements are already outside the scope of ADflakes. The steps to undertake to complete or close any transactions will depend on the discussions between the responsible parties. ADflakes only provide the tools for responsible parties to meet and communicate.
I did not register a member account. How can I manage my posted advertisements? When you post an advertisement as a non-member, an e-mail will be sent to you containing a link to publish your advertisement. The same e-mail contains your Ads Management Link which you can use to manage all your posted advertisements. All your posted advertisements will be listed once you use your Ads Management Link.
If you deleted the e-mail containing your Ads Management Link, you can request a new one by following these steps:
- Click "My Member Account" button at the left column of the page.
- Click "Manage Already Published Advertisements without Login / Registration?" at the displayed page.
- Specify the e-mail address that you used to post your advertisements and submit.
- Check the message sent to your e-mail address.
How can I sort advertisements when displayed in lists? Whenever advertisements are displayed in a list, a Sorting Bar is included at the top of the list. Use the Sorting Bar to sort advertisements by clicking at the corresponding Up or Down arrows for the specific sorting field. Clicking the down arrow for "Date" will sort the classified ads according to the date the advertisements are posted with the latest posted advertisement first. The up arrow will reverse the sorting of the ads. The red arrow indicates the current sorting of the ads.
